Joyland Christian Centre when we visited in the
fall of 2010.
We have had an
Internet relationship
with Pastor Isaiah for
many years. So we
were most excited to
finally have the
opportunity to meet
him and minister in
his church! During
our stay in Nairobi
we were able to visit
the church and fell in
love with all of them!

Pastor Isaiah introducing to us the church's leadership
While we were with Pastor Isaiah we asked him what his greatest need was. He replied, "a sound system." Our reply was,
"What!" To us it seemed that there were needs that seemed far greater! But he was insistent that this was the church's greatest
need. So, through generous donations to Huruma Ministries, we were able purchase Joyland a new sound system.

Turns out, this had been something that the church had been praying and asking the Lord to provide for a long time. To them, this
sound system represented God providing the impossible; it was hope fulfilled! They were not only able to purchase the sound
system, but a keyboard and guitar too! So they did what they knew they were supposed to do -- taking the Gospel and releasing
hope and joy to the streets of Kibera!

In addition, Pastor Isaiah wakes every morning at 5 am and prays for an hour, then sets up the sound system and preaches and
prays over the Kibera slums!
